Hitting Restart

Hello! Fresh from Sarangani. 🐟

I've been away this weekend to attend the wedding of one of my closest friends back in college Pau.  It was a tiring weekend trip but yesterday morning I woke up feeling energized and ready to face the new day! Definitely the restart button I needed. 😍 It was the first destination wedding I ever attended and it's really one for the books! 😍

What made it more fun was the fact that I got to travel with two of my best galpals since gradeschool Abby and Michelle. It was the first time we travelled via plane together! Abby, Mich and I attended the same Grade School and University and got to be part of the same dance troupe with Pau. Only that they continued and got to compete internationally while I deferred the application process because the trainings end too late for my parents' clock! 🤣

It was actually good timing -- beautiful sunrise and sunsets, happy reunions and a blessed union plus a much-needed escapade -- away from stress. Not that I don't enjoy work but sometimes things can get overwhelming that you just feel a need to pause. This trip was just right on time to hit the restart button! Away in an island with limited network coverage (to be fair, the hotel has free WiFi but it was our choice not to be too anti-social -- we didn't even turn on the TV in our room!), life is good!

I know you feel the same when it comes to schoolworks, projects, proposal deadlines and/or reports. You don't always need to take a trip or travel far to restart, sometimes just taking a break helps.

You know, just pause for a while. Attend to your needs. Pamper yourself a little. Go buy milktea and squeeze in time to unwind!

You have to take a break so you can pay attention to your well-being. In doing so, you can recharge yourself and perform better!

As how we refresh our gadgets to get them to function smoothly and efficiently, we have to take care of ourselves by hitting restart.
