Hello! It's been a while since I posted. As you may have already know, I've also started a Youtube channel so most of my freetime from work is spent filming and editing (aside from binge-watching on Netflix!).
Earlier this month, I was invited by a waxing salon brand (Lay Bare) to be part of its #BraveAndConfident campaign which aims everyone to bare confidence. In line with the campaign, I was thinking of shooting a vlog about how I gained confidence (I was really a shy type of kid back then, it feels as if I had inferiority complex) but about the same time in January, a video of a student bullying his schoolmate became viral on Facebook. It reminded me of an experience I wish I had not gone through so more than merely sharing a confidence story, I figured that talking about my experience of being bullied was more relevant.
The emotional and psychological effect of bullying is real. I may not have had it as hard as the others but it still affected me in a way I didn't expect.
Here's to rising up and moving forward! Blaming ourselves is the natural reaction but taking responsibility in things we can control might get us to a better place. What we do after counts.
